Join us for an incredible experience at ‘The Chosen’ Teen Movie Nights, a free community youth event! Immerse yourself in the captivating story of Jesus Christ and embrace the power of faith. This is not just a movie night, but a chance to connect with other youth in our community and strengthen your spiritual journey together throughout the year. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to be part of this interfaith event. Bring your friends and let’s make 2024 one to be remembered.

The movie nights will be held once a month on a Sunday night in a large church gymnasium at 905 Richmond Rd. from 6-8pm! Any youth between the ages of 12-18 are invited to attend.  A big screen, comfy seating & popcorn will always be provided! Feel free to bring your favorite squishmallow, snacks, bean bags or anything else that will create a cozy movie night experience for you. A parent or guardian will need to sign their teen in during drop-off and sign them out during pickup. Don’t miss an episode! Check out the schedule below and save the dates!

What is "The Chosen" Series?

What should I bring?

The movies will be held on a big screen in a big gymnasium. Couches, rugs, popcorn & drinks will always be provided! Feel free to bring your favorite bean bags, camping chair or anything else that will create a cozy movie night experience for you. You are also welcome to bring your own snacks or drinks. All of that is optional... the most important thing you can bring is yourself and a friend!

Do I have to be a member of your church to attend?

No! This event is for any and all young adults in the Susanville community and surrounding areas. This is an interfaith non-denominational event for youth of all backgrounds, cultures, religions or no religious background at all! We are excited to create an event where the youth of our community can gather together to learn and strengthen their own personal faith in Jesus Christ.

What should I wear?

Casual Dress. We ask that those attending are neat, clean, modest and appropriate in their language, clothing and grooming. Their conduct should exemplify Christlike behavior. 

Do I drop-off or stay with my teen?

You are welcome to drop-off your teen. There will be a sign-in sheet for all parents or guardians to sign their teens in and out when they are dropped off and picked up.

If you would like to stay with your teen during the event, please feel free to stay. We are looking forward to meeting you! There will be chairs lined up at the back of the gym for any parents who would like to stay for part of the time or the entire event. We only ask that you do not bring any other children with you who are not between the ages of 12-18.

Hi! My name is Tara and I have been blessed with 5 wonderful children, one super sweet daughter-in-law, and my precious grandson, Ollie. I work at Lassen College and I love serving the students there. I am really excited to help bring our community together to learn about and celebrate the life of Christ through "The Chosen" series. My family has been blessed from watching this series and we are praying that yours will be, too!

My husband and I are so excited for the opportunity to share the life of Jesus Christ together with the our community through this beautiful Christian series!
